Pinatar Arena will return to overcome next year the 100 teams that will pass through its Football Center and will again host more than 100 friendly matches in its football complex. In addition, from this new season, Pinatar Arena will switch from 6 to 10 standard natural grass football fields, in this way becoming the most active Football Center of the Region of Murcia.
With Antwerp, as settled, from Tuesday 27th, the 2017 season will officially begin, with the arrival of Shanghai Shenxin on January 2nd, led by Juan Ignacio Martinez. Only for the first two and a half months of the year more than 60 teams have confirmed their pre-season at Pinatar Arena, with about 80 friendly matches confirmed in January and February.
The Football Center will again host numerous Belgian teams such as the Euro Genk, german teams such as the historic Kaiserslautern, dutch teams as Twente, russian teams represented by Zenit and Rubin, austrian teams as Lask Linz, danes as Odense, norwegian as Kongsvinger and moldovan as the Dacia Chisinau.
Undoubtedly, the great news of the season will be the presence of Asian teams, where 3 sets will come from South Korea and 4 will be from China, and the massive participation of the women’s football with lots of training camps and friendly matches involving the national teams of Sweden, Russia, Romania, Finland, Slovakia, the Netherlands and England.
In the next weeks, will be organized an U21 tournament that will take place the last fortnight of March, in the Pinatar Arena that already is working to break in 2017 the important records of the previous four seasons.
